2001 ATLANTA, GA PDF Print E-mail

Image National Black Lesbian Conference 2001 was held in the Buckeye community at the Swissotel. We chose Atlanta as a location in hopes that our goal of attracting women from all over the country could happen. It was a success!

There were 15 states in attendance. Our largest group was from Little Rock, Arkansas. We corresponded with the group for a whole year and they drove in by bus. It was a beautiful sight to see all those women. Our group photo is a small glimpse of who was there but does not encompass the number of women who attended throughout the weekend.

Zuna Insitute would like to thank our workshop presenters, photographers, volunteer staff, youth group, speakers, and those who assisted in every way. There were individuals who helped with the conference and did not attend. We thank them for their commitment to our community. Our first conference was a beautiful event because of you.
