NBLC 2008 SPONSORSHIP

Zuna Institute requests your support as a sponsor of the 4th National Black Lesbian Conference. The conference will be held July 10-13th, 2008, at the Red Rock Resort and Spa, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Zuna Institute’s National Black Lesbian Conference, the only event of its kind, is the preeminent assembly of Black Lesbian activists, educators, community organizers, and professionals.

The NBLC provides attendees with opportunities for leadership development and skills-building, business development, professional networking, and continues to develop and expand our platform for future advocacy.  The past three conferences have fostered an environment and provided a space where hundreds of Black Lesbians have convened to enhance their skills through a holistic approach to well being, receive information, commemorate each other, and network with like-minded members of the community

Our Theme, ”Time to Be Renewed,” signifies that we must renew our commitment to the community, renew our participation in activism, renew our government, and renew our dedication to fight health disparities. Join us in hosting this three-day event that will include powerful workshops and seminars that focus on the social and political injustices that impact the lives of women, in particular Black Lesbians.

Our last NBLC was honored to host over 300 Black Lesbians from 35 states, and 64 cities, ranging in age from 18 to 75. This year we are expecting to expand attendance by 15%., making it possible for a broader segment of our community to receive desperately needed information  and resources from leading companies and business professionals. With your sponsorship you can assure your organization maximum and effective exposure to our conference participants who represent a prime untapped demographic market consisting of Black women throughout the country between the ages of 18 – 75, with annual incomes of $25,000 – $90,000+. Several organizations and sponsors are aiding us in the success of this event and we invite your participation, too.
